Meet Marya-

Who I am:

  • an immigrant daughter of Polish Army veterans

  • an Entrepreneur and Defense Acquisition Professional

  • an active member with the DC Republican Party for over two decades

  • a long-time parishioner at Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown

Marya is an immigrant whose family fled the horrors of communism in post-war Poland to begin a new life of freedom in the United States.  

Marya is a proud Sea Scout Mom who raised a woman engineer.

Marya worked her way through college and graduate school at a variety of jobs: waitress, church organist, factory laborer, nurses’ aide, clerical staff, and paralegal assistant.

Marya has extensive experience in Government and industry, including startup of small companies, service in Government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies.  Marya is a champion for small business, and understands the unique challenges facing the small business community.

An avid student of history, Marya recently translated her late Uncle's account of his World War I service with the Second Carpathian Brigade.

She is graduate of Emmanuel College in Boston and Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.
